One of my favorite noise/techno artists, Yaporigami has a way to make their sound unnerving, unrelenting... exciting. "Eye / Hand" takes a minimal yet maximal approach, deconstructing beats and basslines, and morphing hooks into pulled-back noise and omniscient ambience, always there, always lurking in the shadows, plying from your senses one tiny bit at a time. I guess this piece is the most amazing piece by Miyashita in recent years. Absolutely, we can still hear his representative glitch sound and aggressive percussion, but synths are milder than all pieces he've done, the melancholy molody just a little bit like his collaboration with Chiharu Shota's 「LOST WORDS」.
